About Me

I am a licensed mental health counselor in private practice providing individual, couples, and family therapy. I also work as an adjunct and teach three Student Life Skills courses.  Higher Ed is my first love as I've worked in academia for over 20 years.  I demonstrate a love and passion for student success. I am student-centered in my approach to teaching. I make it a priority to develop positive and trusting relationships with the students that I encounter. I believe that each student has a purpose, and my goal is to actively and passionately empower students to frame goals in a practical and attainable fashion. Every interaction with students is an opportunity to help them develop skills that can be utilized in various aspects of their lives. Students’ individual beliefs about their capabilities to succeed in college allow them to organize and execute their action plans while developing confidence in their academic abilities.
