Melvin Shepard Jr,
I was born in the great city of Tampa, FL, on July 27, 1980 (Go Bucs). I am married with five children and an unscrupulous dog who uses me. I am a family man that enjoys the blessings of a big family. Also, I’m a community activist, teacher, and humble man of God. I earned a BS in Human Services and a Masters in Organizational Leadership & Management. Now he’s working on my Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership. I’m currently an adjunct professor of Business and Human Services. Full-time, I’m a program manager overseeing a 3 million dollar grant at St. Petersburg College. My program operates in the heart of the most unserved areas of South St. Petersburg, FL. I idolize and model my character after great servant leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King, President Obama, and Jesus Christ. I have dedicated my career to working with underrepresented and underserved populations in many fields, such as education, Juvenile Justice, and Workforce. I am passionate about educating, mentoring, and teaching minority men. I believe with hard work and faith, nothing can stand in the way of your dreams.
Fun Fact: I delivered my 4-year-old daughter.
