I have been a nurse for approximately 36 years. I have touched on various types of nursing beginning with surgical nursing, acute care and infusion nursing. I began my career in education approximately 11 years ago. I have actively taught didactic, clinical, lab and online for various educational institutions teaching RN to BSN, BSN, MSN and even LPN to RN bridge programs. I have mastered several types of online platforms such as canvas, brightspace, ati, evolve elsevier, and kaplan. I have a PhD in nursing education, and am looking to teach fully online. I am a master in medical/surgical nursing, fundamentals, community, leadership, research and NCLEX review courses. I have been told that I exhibit a lot of patience and work well with all types of ethnic and socioeconomic groups.

Currently working in an adjunct faculty capacity teaching didactic and lab medical surgical nursing courses in both the bachelor's of science of nursing and practical nursing programs. Using several different platforms for online learning such as canvas, ati, kaplan, and evolve. Participates in conferences, and tutoring sessions with the students both in person and online using microsoft teams. Posts both grades and administers testing in both online and in person using lockdown browsers. Attends required meetings and faculty seminars and webinars to increase my knowledge base and stay versed on the latest teaching delivery methods.

Was the lead instructor for Health Assessment and Fundamentals of nursing engaged in teaching in both didactic, skills labs and clinical in rotations. Was able to apply various teaching platforms such as Evolve Elsevier, ATI, Kaplan etc....also taught full courses online using Shadowhealth and V-Sims. Scheduled tutoring, as well as various review courses for NCLEX and to assist students to master testing techniques as well as to critical thinking skill both remotely and in person. Also, taught courses such as pharmacology, medical surgical nursing and community health on demand.
