About Me

Energetic professor with more than a decade’s experience seeking a position for fall 2022. Designed and taught courses in the history of global material cultures for more than 14 years at a designated Minority Serving Institution. Capable of creating a safe and inclusive classroom community while challenging all students to meet high expectations. Expertise in the medieval period as well as the arts of Africa, specifically objects made by the Yoruba people in Nigeria and the Nigerian diaspora. Available to teach courses in Greek and Roman Art, Egyptian and Mesopotamian Art, Medieval and Byzantine Art, the Arts of the Islamic World, the Arts of Africa, Research and Methods in Art History, and Body Art (i.e. tattoos, piercing, etc).
