About Me

Patrice Athanasidy has worked in media as a public relations professional and journalist for more than 25 years. She has written for publications throughout the NY metro area and worked for a number of not-for-profits and educational institutions. 

An adjunct professor in communication at Manhattan College for more than five years, Athanasidy earned her bachelor’s degree from Manhattan College and her master’s in public communications from Fordham University. She has taught communication courses in speech, news writing, public relations and international communication.

Teach two courses per semester (one the first semester) in the Communications Department. The courses have varied as needed. Courses have included Introduction to Speech, Transnational Communications, Writing for Public Relations, Advanced News writing.
